Walker and Drake launches treat range

The treats are fresh pressed and soft baked to preserve the natural vitamins, minerals and botanicals

Cold pressed pet food manufacturers Walker and Drake has entered the dog treat market with a new range of treats.

The Barnsley-based company was launched last year by business partners Richard Grant, David Taylor and Tim Matthews after they “spotted a gap in the market to provide a high quality dry pet food with minimum processing”.

The treats are fresh pressed and soft baked to preserve the natural vitamins, minerals and botanicals. In addition, they are grain and gluten free and contain no artificial flavours, colours or added sugar.

According to the group, they are “ideal” to be given as a reward or training treat, and they come in a recyclable and resealable 100g pouch and are made in the UK.

The new treats are available in three varieties: Beef with Gravy and Sweet Potato, Lamb with Mint and Parsley, and Peanut Butter and Blueberry (xylitol free). Other ingredients include Green Tea Extract, Yucca Extract and Dried Marigold.

The new range has an RRP of £2.50 for a 100g bag.
