Officers are appealing for information after a dog bit a Poole woman as she walked into a pet store.

At around 5.48pm on Friday 26 January 2018 a 43-year-old woman walked toward the entrance of Pets at Home on Redlands Poole Retail Park at Branksome.

As she approached the door a dog bit her on her left thigh. The bite ripped through her jeans but did not puncture her skin. She was left with a large bruise.

The dog is described as a Collie breed or similar.Appeal launched after woman bitten by dog in pet store

The police have released a cctv image of the owner.

Police constable Sian Dibley, of Poole police, said: “We are keen to trace the dog and its owner and as part of our investigation we are now in a position to issue this CCTV image.

“I would ask the woman pictured or anyone who knows who she is to please contact Dorset Police.”
