The Pet Industry Federation (PIF), the trade association for UK pet businesses, is launching a new public facing website: mypetpeople.co.uk.

The site’s intuitive search facility will allow pet owners to locate their nearest trusted PIF business easily and quickly.

Listings will be included as standard for PIF members, enabling them to showcase their services to the public, whilst adhering to PIF’s codes of conduct.

Nigel Baker, PIF CEO, said: “PIF membership is seen as a hallmark of quality within the industry and we feel it’s important to showcase our members to the pet-owning public and direct them to use their services with confidence, safe in the knowledge that their pets are in the best hands”.

My Pet People is the latest benefit that pet businesses receive as part of their PIF membership. Recent additions now include a free inbound landline telephone number through PIF Telecom, directly linking to members’ mobiles so they can always be contactable when they are out on business; and an enhancement in business insurance to cover now kennels and cattery businesses. These compliment PIF’s existing benefits which include commercial finance, telecom services, insurance energy, chip & pin solutions and legal helplines.

Further information about the Pet Industry Federation can be found at www.petfederation.co.uk or by calling 01234 273933.
