Mars Petcare is celebrating 40 years commitment to AQUARIAN® this year.
AQUARIAN® was founded by John Mars in 1976.
His aim was to develop “a food that is superior to all others on the market, proven by laboratory controlled trials.”
This vision remains today, with regular research taking place at Mars’ WALTHAM Centre for Pet Nutrition.
WALTHAM is the fundamental science centre for Mars Petcare and focuses on the nutrition and wellbeing of dogs, cats, horses, birds and fish, and their benefits to humans.
WALTHAM has pioneered many important breakthroughs in pet nutrition, and in collaboration with the world’s foremost research institutes, provides the science underpinning Mars Petcare brands including AQUARIAN®, PEDIGREE®, ROYAL CANIN®, WHISKAS®, BANFIELD® Pet Hospital, CESAR®, NUTRO®, SHEBA® and DREAMIES™.
