Surrey-based dog crèche business, Bruce’s Doggy Day Care, has reached the finals of a national pet trade award in the same month it announced further growth.
The fast-growing small business is a finalist in the Pet Industry Federation Awards Pet Services Dog Day Care & Boarding category. The awards are designed to highlight the best in the pet industry and bring together top pet companies from around the country.
Winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner on 1 November at the Wokefield Park hotel, Reading.
Bruce Casalis, managing director, Bruce’s Doggy Day Care, said: “We’re thrilled to reach the finals of these prestigious pet industry awards. Bruce’s Doggy Day Care has already won several regional awards so it feels right that we’ve now taken the next step to gain national recognition.
“We received the news we were finalists this month (September) just as we finalised a huge expansion project at our flagship day care site in Cobham, Surrey. It’s been a very busy time!”
Bruce Casalis added: “After opening our second site in nearby Ripley last year, it was time to turn our attention back to Cobham. Given business has been booming with waiting lists for our services, it made sense to expand.
“Our day care centres have 32 staff and over 500 dogs of all shapes and sizes. Now we have expanded, we hope to welcome another 300 dogs into our care.”
