Bestway Wholesale Group has announced a £10 million investment plan to expand its Batleys Bestpets group of specialist wholesale outlets.
Operations director of Batleys and Bestpets Martin Race said: “Since the addition of Bestpets to the company in 2005, we have seen considerable growth and a complete belief in what we do from the UK pet trade. I am delighted to announce that we intend to continue a £10 million investment, over the next three years, in the trade across our group.
“This year we have opened new hubs in Newcastle and Nottingham and have doubled the size of hubs at Exeter and Luton. We are about to develop a new site in Glasgow and we are currently looking at options for more space in Bristol.
“We are only too aware of how difficult business is for our customers and we want to be seen to be helping them to build their businesses through offering them top service.”
The investment plan will benefit the entire group, including the trade only Pet Retail Club, and also create new employment opportunities.
