Lincolnshire-based The Natural Dog Food Company has launched Vet Care, an anallergenic range utilising enzymatic hydrolysis to reduce the immune system’s recognition of potential allergens.
The family-run business developed the range alongside veterinary nutritionists to address canine food intolerances and compromised digestion.
The manufacturing process uses enzymatic hydrolysis to break proteins into consistent peptide chains, which are less likely to trigger allergic responses than whole proteins.
This launch follows 20 years of research and development and marks the company’s third product line alongside its existing Original and Sensitive hypoallergenic ranges.
The Vet Care collection consists of five specialised products targeting joint health, skin condition, digestive support, dental hygiene, and daily maintenance.
The Vet Care Joint Support and Weight Control includes collagen peptides and green-lipped mussel, promoting joint health, reducing inflammation, and improving mobility.
Meanwhile, the Vet Care Skin and Coat is formulated with low antigenic potential, collagen peptides, Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, EPA, and DHA to address dry, itchy skin and coat issues.
Additionally, the Vet Care Digestive Support contains hydrolysed proteins, prebiotics, and lignocellulose fibre to aid digestion, soothe sensitive stomachs, and improve gut health.
The Vet Care Dental Support uses antimicrobial and collagen peptides, sodium hexametaphosphate and prebiotics to support healthy gums, fresher breath and reduce plaque, tartar and tooth staining.
Lastly, the Vet Care Daily Health provides a complete and balanced nutrition designed for ongoing management of allergies, joint issues, skin conditions or digestive sensitivities.
Each formula incorporates 100% natural ingredients and is packaged in compostable bags. The company’s testing protocols include pre-use ingredient checks and in-process monitoring to ensure nutritional consistency, which is critical for dogs with severe sensitivities.
According to internal trials, most dogs show health improvements within three to six weeks of starting the diet.
The range is available in 2kg and 6kg formats, with trial packs offered for initial testing.
