Pets at Home has raised more than £1.5m for the Royal British Legion through sales of poppy-themed pet accessories, marking a fundraising milestone in support of the Armed Forces community.

The retailer said £1,557,646 has been raised since the partnership began in 2018, with all profits donated to the charity. Funds have helped veterans, serving personnel and their families through welfare, housing and recovery support programmes.

This year’s campaign includes a refreshed range of pet accessories such as bow ties, bandanas, collars and charms, available in stores and online since August.

Madeline Shaw, marketing director, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have reached this £1.5m milestone – it’s a testament to the generosity of our customers and the dedication of our colleagues. Many members of the Armed Forces community are also pet lovers, and this campaign allows us to support them in a way which we know best.”

Ben France, head of corporate partnerships at the Royal British Legion, added: “We’re incredibly grateful to Pets at Home and their customers for their continued support. From mental and physical recovery programmes to help with finances, housing and adapting from military to civilian life, every contribution helps us to be there for serving personnel, veterans and families, whatever the need, whenever it’s needed.”
