Pets’ Kitchen Ltd has announced the sale of the Vet’s Kitchen division to Pets Choice, allowing it to focus on its Vet’s Klinic veterinary practices.

The Vet’s Kitchen brand, which primarily operates in dry dog and cat food, will join Pets Choice’s family of pet brand offerings, which include Webbox, Bob Martin, Felight, TastyBone and B-Calm.

Founded by a practising veterinary surgeon, Vet’s Kitchen products are formulated based on extensive veterinary expertise and scientific research.

James Cowper Kreston Corporate Finance advised Vet’s Kitchen alongside Blandy and Blandy (Legal).

Laura Shears, managing director of Pets’ Kitchen, said: “We hope to see the Vet’s Kitchen brand thrive under the ownership of Pets Choice. We will continue to work in collaboration with the Vet’s Kitchen team to provide veterinary insight and support product development.

Meanwhile, our focus will be to drive further growth in veterinary services where we have a unique proposition and exciting plans for the future.

“Additionally, we would like to express our thanks to Jack and Stewart for their outstanding support throughout this transaction. Their expertise, professionalism and dedication were instrumental in achieving a successful outcome.”

Tony Raeburn, CEO of Pets Choice, added: “This is a fantastic acquisition for Pets Choice
as we continue our drive in both product premiumisation and into the vet sector. We’re excited to onboard the Vet’s Kitchen team and pair their knowledge with our own.”
