WHM Pet Group has revealed that it has added new capabilities to its UK manufacturing over the past 12 months, which includes new investment into its Driby site in Lincolnshire to further its offering.

Previously, the group invested £5m into its Driby manufacturing site over the past nine years, resulting in the current site that features 110 sq ft of storage and racking.

The group said it has achieved a year-on-year growth of 31%, and attained a £36m sales turnover.

In addition, over the course of the last 12 months, the group invested £2m into the production of “end of line” robotics.

This has in turn contributed to “improved” manufacturing levels, higher market demand which has allowed for “better quality” packs and new formats.

Following the investment, WHM’s wild bird brand Honeyfield’s will now be able to “innovate, test, and create” products, such as its suet pellets and blocks, “in-house”, rather than its previous method of outsourcing.

WHM now employs a total of 101 members of staff, including a wider sales team covering the whole of the UK.
