Barking Heads has signed TV vet, Dr Scott Miller, as its pet food brand’s in-house expert and brand ambassador.

The Australian born vet and author is currently the resident Vet on ITV flagship show, This Morning, giving advice to viewers in the studio and presenting live and recorded animal items from all around the UK and internationally.

With a 20-year broadcasting career, he is a regular face on many UK channels including BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky. His own programme for More4, Vet on the Hill, filmed at his practice in Richmond, South-west London, has been broadcast around the world in almost 30 countries and dubbed in seven different languages.

The firm added he is a keen writer, contributing regularly to broadsheets and magazines, having also written Puppy Parenting, a guide of what to do and when to do it when caring for puppies.

Miller said: “I’m a big advocate for healthy, natural pet food and I like how Barking Heads doesn’t gloss over the messy, muddy reality of dog ownership! Having a dog is lots of fun with plenty of frustration thrown in! The brand felt like a natural fit for me.

“Quality, natural ingredients really can improve the health and happiness of your dog and I’m looking forward to helping the Barking Heads team educate dog owners about the real-life benefits of good nutrition. They’re a passionate team of people with dogs, who really get dogs and it feels great to join the pack. I have a feeling my own dog, Scully, will be happy too. I’ve heard the ratio of dogs to humans is high at Barking Heads HQ.”
