A leading animal charity has launched its popular annual photography competition with award-winning photographer Paul Walker as this year’s guest judge.

PetSavers, the charity that funds vital research into pet diseases, is inviting amateur photographers and pet-lovers alike to submit their best pictures of their pets in action with a prize of £200 worth of photography vouchers up for grabs.

The competition is free to enter, with a closing date for entries of 31 January 2014 and two categories, Adult and Junior (16 and under).

Paul Walker, Scottish Master Pet Photographer of the Year five times in a row, said, “PetSavers is important because it helps find new treatments to combat those diseases for which no treatments yet exist. Pets are a massive part of any family and healthy and happy pets can certainly make for a happier home environment.”
