An independent pet accessory brand is set to open its first shop in Harrogate later this month.
Peach and Pooch creates a range of pet products, with each piece designed and handmade by local resident, Emily Ong, who makes all products from her home studio in Harrogate.
Ong creates a range of items, including collars and leads, as well as birthday bandanas and personalised portraits.
As well as Peach and Pooch products, the new shop is also set to stock select third party items, such as Naturaw dog food, The Innocent Pet dog treats and puzzle toys from LickiMat.
According to the Harrogate Informer, the first bricks-and-mortar shop will now open on 25 July.
Ong first launched Peach and Pooch in 2017, and has spent the last three years building the business up online.
Ong said: “It has been a huge challenge to embark on a new adventure under the cloud of Covid-19, especially as an independent business that began life in my spare room.
“However, I know that the people of Harrogate are passionate about their pets, and at a time where we are all making more effort to support small businesses and shop locally, I hope that our little independent can provide some positivity for residents and their furry friends.”
She added: “We signed the lease on our shop right before lockdown hit, so needless to say the journey to opening has been a bit of a rollercoaster.
“However, Peach and Pooch was born from passion and I’m a massive believer in if you don’t try, you don’t know. I’m hoping we’ll and on our paws and provide a unique and fun service for Harrogate.”
