Norwich-based family-run pet store, Goodson Bros Pet Superstore has closed its doors after 51 years.

Roger and Michael Goodson, who ran the business, closed the superstore in Magdalen Road before Christmas and have put the building up for sale according to the Eastern Daily Press.

The shop was opened in 1968 and confirmed its closure on Facebook, with a post saying: “Some of you may or may not be aware but we have made an extremely hard decision and are closing the shop at the end of October due to Roger and Michael retiring.”

The property, a two storey corner terrace building with a ground floor retail unit, is for sale with Arnolds Keys.
