Raw pet food manufacturer, Poppy’s Picnic has been nominated for an award in two categories at the Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards.

Last year the company won the ‘Start-up Business of the Year Award’, while this time Poppy’s Picnic have been nominated for the ‘Corporate, Social and Environmental Responsibility’ award and ‘Small Business of the Year’.

Recently the manufacturer was rewarded for its “commitment to the local community” when it reached the national finals of the Rural Business of the Year Awards.

Poppy’s Picnic, founder, Dylan Watkins, said: “We are a proud Wiltshire business and celebrate being rural. We are passionate about supporting our local community and environment.

“From our food that’s handmade by fourth generation butchers using local produce, to our upcoming new production facility that will provide local employment opportunities, our rural heritage is at the heart of the business and will stay that way. We also use BPA-free recyclable packaging for all our products and by sourcing our produce locally, we reduce our carbon footprint.”

The awards will be presented at a dinner on 10 May at Centre Parcs, Longleat.
