Pet food manufacturer, Beco Pets, has welcomed its first canine member to its board of directors.

Tarka Bramble, a Labrador from Dorset, will be taking on the role of the chief product officer as of May 2019. Bramble will be working alongside the company’s London team to “ensure Beco’s range remains tough and interactive”.

Bramble plans to implement a “paws on” approach to quality control through her own rigorous testing process. She will be heading up new areas of field market research, where she will be retrieving data to aid new product development.

Beco Pets boss, Conor Richey, made the strategic move to hire Bramble to the top team of talent after finding her on Linkedin. The company said it “impressed by her credentials and won over by her can-do attitude” when they met.

Richey said: “After years in the field, we can’t wait to see the valuable insights Ms Bramble has to offer. She is the one who hones in on what our consumers really want and makes it happen.”
