Aldi has announced the return of its Keep Your Pet Cool range, available in the middle aisle at all Aldi stores.
The headline addition to this year’s collection is the new Colour Change Cooling Harness (£8.99), which uses a reactive pattern to alert owners to rising temperatures.
When dipped in cold water, the harness reveals a pattern that gradually vanishes as it dries, signaling when it needs to be re-soaked to maintain a cooling effect.
The range also includes a new Elevated Pet Bed (£16.99), designed to keep animals off hot surfaces, and the return of the gel-filled Cooling Mat (£4.99).
Aldi has positioned the cooling mat as a high-value alternative to competitors, claiming a 69% saving compared with similar products at Argos.
For owners travelling with pets, the collection features travel bottles, bowl sets, and specialized towels priced at £3.99 each.
The retailer has also introduced a series of budget-friendly indoor toys, ranging from heavy-duty chew toys (£2.49) to long body plush designs (£2.99), aimed at keeping pets entertained when outdoor temperatures are too high for exercise.
Aldi’s pet safety launch comes as veterinary experts continue to warn against the dangers of heatstroke in dogs during heatwaves.
The range is part of the supermarket’s Specialbuys programme, meaning stock is limited and unlikely to be replenished once sold through.
