Johnson’s Veterinary Products has launched 4Joints Granules for Cats, a new supplement designed to support long-term cartilage and joint function in felines.
The granule formulation, which is free from wheat and soya, is intended to be mixed directly into pet food.
It contains a blend of Glucosamine, Curcumin, Omega 3, and Hyaluronic Acid to provide structural support and antioxidant properties.
The launch follows industry data indicating that up to 90% of cats over the age of 12 are affected by arthritis.
The product is positioned as a preventative healthcare solution for cats of all ages and is available in 45-day supply packs.
Based in the UK and founded in 1921, the family-owned business continues to manufacture its healthcare range domestically. The new addition allows retailers to offer joint care in tablet, liquid, and granule formats.
The granules are currently available to the trade in packs of four at a price of £19.96, with a recommended retail price of £8.99 per pack.
Paul Gwynn, Johnson’s Veterinary Products managing director, said: “The ease of administration was a primary focus during development. Granules are an ideal alternative for pets that may be reluctant to take tablets, making daily supplementation straightforward for owners.”
