Closer Pets partners with vet and NHS sleep expert

Closer Pets has announced it will team up with veterinarian Dr Lauren Davis and certified NHS sleep expert to launch OrthoLuxe Beds and Mattresses, vet-approved orthopaedic pet beds.

The pet care brand, specialising in automatic products, said the beds will provide “clinically informed comfort and recovery space” for dogs and cats recovering from surgery and suffering from stiffness, as well as comfort for all pets.

Created by Dr Davis as part of her ongoing commitment to improving animal sleep health, the beds are designed using objective pressure mapping and contain vet-endorsed orthopaedic foam to cushion sensitive joints, reduce pressure on high-risk areas, encourage proper spinal alignment and support arthritis management and recovery.  

Closer Pets said that the beds meet the growing demand for products that promote pets’ comfort, mobility and general health, as the rise in pet life expectancies has led to an increase in those with age-related conditions such as arthritis.  

It added that they are the country’s only available beds backed by Canine Arthritis Management (CAM).

The beds will be available to pet owners directly from Closer Pets and its associated UK retailers.
