Tug-E-Nuff has released a new training tool called the Whip It flirt pole, designed for high-energy dogs.
The product, which will be available for pre-order from today (9 February 2026), is intended to develop impulse control and wait cues by channeling a dog’s prey drive into structured play.
The tool features a lightweight pole with a carabiner attachment for a faux-fur lure, available in squeaky and non-squeaky versions.
The attachment is designed to prevent the lure from disconnecting during use. The device also incorporates a reinforced bungee cord to absorb shock during pouncing and tugging.
Management stated that the lures are manufactured in blue and yellow to align with canine vision science, as dogs are dichromatic and distinguish these colours more clearly against natural backgrounds.
The new flirt pole will be priced from £32.90, with a limited number of units available for purchase at Crufts 2026.
Danny Nelis-Rouse, managing director at Tug-E-Nuff, said: “For dogs with high energy levels and short attention spans, flirt pole play offers a highly effective way to build focus. We have designed the lures in blue and yellow specifically because these are the colours dogs see most clearly, ensuring they stay engaged with the toy throughout the training session.”
