If your organisation is making a difference by improving lives through the power of the pet-human bond, now is the time to apply for Purina’s BetterWithPets Prize 2025.
Run by Purina PetCare Europe, the annual Prize offers a share of a two-year grant of £170,000 (€200,000)1 for organisations and social enterprises helping people in vulnerable situations through the companionship, support or therapeutic benefits that animals can provide.
Purina is looking for any organisation making a positive impact, including those working with assistance dogs, animal-assisted therapies, and programmes that offer companionship and wellbeing support to older people.
The Prize was founded in 2018 on the belief that pets and people are better together and has since helped previous winners to grow their work and create greater impact in their communities.
This forms part of Purina’s wider goal of improving the health and wellbeing of one million people in vulnerable situations by 2030.
Previous winners include UK charity StreetVet, which provides free veterinary care to the pets of people experiencing homelessness, and Pets As Therapy which facilitates pet visits to hospitals, schools and prisons to provide a mental health boost to communities.
In addition to funding, winners also become part of Purina’s BetterWithPets community, sharing knowledge, tools and inspiration with fellow changemakers from across Europe.
