Pets Corner has appointed Nick Anderson as its new chief retail officer, strengthening its senior leadership team as the business continues to expand across the UK.
Anderson joined the family-run pet retailer at the start of 2026 and will oversee retail operations across its estate of more than 160 stores, alongside Dogwood grooming salons and Pet Practice veterinary surgeries.
He brings several decades of experience in large-scale, multi-site retail. Anderson began his career at Gateway and Somerfield, where he progressed to regional executive level, before moving to Wyevale Garden Centres.
During his time at Wyevale, Anderson worked closely with Pets Corner chief executive Dean Richmond and was involved in opening Pets Corner stores within garden centres, supporting the brand’s expansion into new retail settings.
He later spent 13 years at Dobbies Garden Centres as operations director, where he was responsible for multi-site operations and played a role in driving business growth.
At Pets Corner, Anderson will be responsible for retail performance and operational delivery, as well as supporting the company’s customer experience and growth strategy.
Anderson said: “The company’s commitment to animal welfare, colleague development and customer service truly sets it apart in the sector. Having worked with Dean previously, I know the strength of the culture and the ambition for growth.”
Richmond added: “Nick brings outstanding operational expertise and a deep understanding of multi-site retail. His appointment further strengthens our leadership team as we continue to grow responsibly.”
