Su-Bridge Pet Supplies has announced that it has acquired four pet food brands; Autarky, Chudleys, Gelert and Gusto from United Petfood UK Limited.

As part of the acquisition, Su-Bridge is entering into a strategic partnership with United Petfood UK, who will continue to manufacture the brands at their facilities.

These brands were previously acquired by United Petfood from Gold Line Feeds UK in December 2022.

The company stated: “This strategic move strengthens our position in the UK pet food market and supports our long-term commitment to delivering trusted, high-quality nutrition to pets across the country.

“Each of these brands brings a strong heritage and loyal customer base, and we’re proud to welcome them into the Su-Bridge family. We’re looking forward to investing in their future and supporting our retail partners with a broader, more competitive offering. Together, we’re focused on making the transition seamless for retailers and customers alike while continuing to grow and develop these fantastic brands.”

Belgian-based family business United Petfood produces dry and wet petfood and treats with production facilities in 12 different countries, including three in the UK, and a global turnover of more than €1.3bn (£1.1bn).
