Edgewood Veterinary Group has become part of Linnaeus, a veterinary group in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Edgewood stated that the care and services it provides for pets at our surgeries in Purleigh, Maldon and Althorne will not change.
Linnaeus has a network of experienced vets and nurses across the UK and Republic of Ireland, who the veterinary group will collaborate with and learn from.
According to Edgewood, joining Linnaeus will help the group to continue providing “the quality of care pet owners expect, through investment into technology, equipment, and its people”.
The news comes after Bay Vets joined Linnaeus in January 2025. Founded in 2014, Linnaeus has grown to become one of the most “highly-respected” veterinary groups in the UK and Ireland offering specialist referral services as well as primary care across its family of practices.
Edgewood Veterinary Group said: “We have always been proud to offer the best possible care for local pets and their owners, and this will continue. The support of Linnaeus enables us to improve and develop as a team and as part of the local community.”
