Global provider of premium-claim ingredients to pet food brands IQI Trusted Petfood Ingredients has announced the appointment of Rick Houtepen as its new sales manager.

Having worked as an account manager and sales manager at different food companies before joining IQI, Houtepen has many years of experience in the pet food industry.

He also acquired extensive knowledge as well as certificates relating to the meat industry.

Additionally, throughout his career, Houtepen has worked in the European market and focused on the wet pet food segment in his previous position before joining IQI.

Houtepen said: “When I entered the pet food industry some years ago, I instantly knew that this was where I wanted to progress my career.

“I am proud to now be offered the chance to contribute to IQI Trusted Petfood Ingredients, working as part of a highly skilled team. I am looking forward to seizing opportunities in the industry with high-quality pet food ingredients for cats and dogs.”

Arjan van Waes, sales director Europe at IQI Trusted Petfood Ingredients, added: “We are delighted that Rick has joined the company and reinforced our team.
