F. Duerr and Sons LTD is set to launch Peamutt Balls, the first variant of its household brand Peamutt Butter.

Peamutt Butter first launched to market eight years ago and the new launch follows 63% year on year growth (2022 to 2023), the brand is now worth c. £2m retail value.

F. Duerr and Sons Manchester, established in 1881, is known for its household jams and marmalades. It is also the biggest producer of peanut butter in the UK.

Richard Duerr, managing director for F. Duerr and Sons Ltd, said: “Current trends show people are looking for simple, tasty ingredients in their dog treats. But while they may scrutinise a recipe, shoppers are also challenged by affordability due to rising living costs. With these things in mind, it was important for us to strike the balance of great taste at a good price.

“We often have the feedback that our Peamutt Butter is used as a training reward, but the jar isn’t always the easiest thing to take out and about. Peamutt Balls are easy to put in your pocket and extend the usage to on-the-go. We hope the product will drive sales and open up the Peamutt brand to new shoppers.”

Peamutt Balls will be available from 29 April at £1.80.
