The iPET Network, which was founded by business owners Sarah Mackay and Fern Gresty, has teamed up with the national Animal Courses Direct to create a new online qualification.
This new online theory-based course is an Ofqual regulated qualification and has been developed by the sector-specific Awarding Organisation, iPET Network. This qualification provides the necessary skills that comply with the Defra Animal Activity Licensing requirements for working as a Canine Nutritionist.
This qualification has been created alongside the highest standards in canine education and learners will complete the necessary theory on the following topics:
- Principles of Canine Nutrition
- Canine Digestive Anatomy and Physiology
- Life Stage Canine Nutrition
- Canine Evolution
- Pet Food
- Canine Microbiome, Immunity and Behaviour
- Research in Canine Nutrition
The couple said: “This course is perfect for animal professionals, but also for pet owners who want to know more about the food they are feeding to their beloved family member each day.
“To create the course we teamed up with respected nutrition expert Lisa Hannaby, who knows the world of pet food and feeding inside out.”
