Dog treat company Beautiful Joe’s has donated over 3,000 packets of its products to animal charity Wood Green – since the pair first partnered in 2017.

According to the charity, these treats have been “an essential training aid for thousands of vulnerable dogs that have passed through Wood Green’s doors”.

Wood Green’s which was first founded in 1924 is a charity which helps  to improve pet welfare in the UK and beyond.

Jess Macmichael, dog team leader at Wood Green said: “A lot of the dogs in our care have never tried anything like Beautiful Joe’s liver treats, but they love the crunchy texture and they’re highly motivating”

“For this reason, they are perfect for breaking into small pieces and using for reward-based training. We also put them in activity feeders, such as puzzle balls, which are fantastic enrichment to prevent the dogs from getting bored when in their kennels.”
