A professional groomer and pet shop owner was ransacked by thieves who took a Christmas raffle prize, charity money raised from the raffle as well as 255kg of dog food.

K9 Grooming Solutions were left shocked following the robbery last week. The Rochdale-based business found the till missing from its place and products strewn across the shop floor.

The thieves managed to take a panel from the side of the door in order to get in. From there they squeezed through a 2ft gap and passed 17 15kg bags of dog food, the till as well as the raffle prizes and money raised, according to the shops Facebook page.

The shop is now asking for suggestions as it: “doesn’t want the ones [customers] who had bought tickets to loose out nor the animal rescue that would of benefited from it.”

Andi Jackson, owner of K9 Grooming Solutions, told Oldham Chronicle: “I couldn’t believe it when I arrived.

“Everything had been trashed. The drawers were open and spread across the floor, there was mess everywhere, it was awful.”
