Modular home-builder, Built and Spaces has launched a new dog kennel with an automatic door, heated floor and controlled lighting.

The kennel which retails for £1,200 also includes a hinged copper roof for “easy access” and a “steel frame for extra durability”. It houses 900mm by 660mm of internal floor space and  was created in response to the “growing demand from animal-lovers who want to give their pet a home as nice as theirs”.

Steve Wilkie, director of Built and Spaces, said: “We’re more used to creating luxury homes for humans, but it was great fun creating this dog kennel for man’s best friend. “The kennel has all the mod-cons a pampered pooch could expect, with an automatic door, heated floor and double glazing.

“A lot of our customers have spent lockdown doing up their house, and now they want to treat their pets. Being in the doghouse has never been so comfortable.”
