PitPat appears on Dragon’s Den

UK technology start-up, PitPat, will be showcasing its wearable activity monitor for dogs on Dragons’ Den. Animal lovers can tune in Sunday 28th August.

PitPatโ€™s founder Andrew Nowell enters the Den seeking investment to grow the business in the UK and abroad, and to raise awareness of pet health. The company hopes the cutting edge tech willย help to tackle the pet obesity epidemic.

Designed in Cambridge and manufactured in the UK, PitPat gives owners a fun and engaging way to keep track their dog’s walking, running, playing and resting. PitPat attaches to any collar and is suitableย for dogs of any size or breed.

Accompanying the PitPat device is a free iOS and Android app, which allows owners to keep an eye on their dogโ€™s activity level and find out what they have done while they have been apart โ€“ with the dog walker, in kennels etc. The app compares the activity to a daily guideline based on the dogโ€™s age, breed and weight and gives fun hints and tips towards responsible dog ownership.
