Queen spent £675,000 on corgis, claims TotallyMoney.com

According to research by credit comparison site TotallyMoney.com, the Queen has spent over £675,000 on her corgis during her lifetime.

TotallyMoney.com has released a cost calculator http://www.totallymoney.com/cost-of-pets/. It aims to help owners realistically estimate the amount they should put aside to spend on their pet throughout the furry companion’s lifespan.

The company worked out that Elizabeth II has owned at least 30 corgis throughout her life. To date, she will have spent nearly £680k on her favourite animals.

Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, is the owner of two Bulldogs, a Cocker Spaniel and a Shar Pei. TotallyMoney.com estimates caring for the pooches will cost nearly £90,000 in total (£87,451.71).

Singer Lily Allen has a Pomeranian, Bull Terrier and Irish Wolfhound which would cost just under £63k. Dog loving US celebrity Paris Hilton reportedly owns 12 pooches, including four Pomeranians and four Chihuahuas. TotalMoney.com estimates that her total expenditure on her pets will reach £280,376.43.
