Mars Petcare launches platform for pet owners
Mars Petcare announced that it has collaborated with the Waltham Petcare Science Institute to create a free digital education tool for pet health.
The Pet Health Pal tool is powered by the chatbot functionality within Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, and is supported by Pedigree and Whiskas.
The platform works to answer pet owner’s questions in relation to pet health and ownership, with information backed by the Waltham Petcare Science Institute.
Mars Petcare said that Pet Health Pal is the “first tool of its kind”, and is designed to provide support in regards to the health and wellbeing of pets.
It provides information on a range of topics, including Covid-19 and pets, food, health, and exercise.
Helen Warren-Piper, general manager at Mars Petcare UK, said: “During Covid-19, a number of pet parents have got in touch with questions and concerns about how best to take care of their pets during the pandemic.
“This is why at Mars Petcare we are launching the Pet Health Pal app, giving pet owners in our pet-loving nation easy and quick access to valuable advice and resources provided by experts at the Waltham Petcare Science Institute.”
She added: “From pet nutrition, to general well-being, Pet Health Pal will help pet parents give their four-legged friends the best possible care.”
