Pets at Home donates £100k to Ukraine

Funds are being distributed to charities who are helping on the ground in Ukraine and bordering countries.

Pets at Home has donated £100k to Ukraine this week, having been in touch with several charities who advised the group that funding is the “best way to support at this stage”.

According to the pet retailer, funds are being distributed to charities who are helping on the ground in Ukraine and bordering countries.

It has also opened a Just Giving page in partnership with the Pets at Home Foundation so that anyone who would like to donate has a platform to do so.

It is one of several businesses in the pet industry to lend its support to Ukraine amid the ongoing crisis. Earlier this week, Natural Cornish Pet announced it had teamed up with The Dog Groomery in order to help animals in need at the Ukrainian border.

It sent a van full of supplies to the border on Wednesday 8 March, and Dog Groomery has planned to travel in convoy and in conjunction with Dogbus Transporting Paws, Saving Lives. This will be the first of six planned trips by the charity.
