Covetrus appoints Sandra Peterson to board of directors

Animal-health technology company Covetrus has announced Sandra Peterson has been appointed to the company’s board of directors.

Peterson has experience in driving growth, operational improvement and innovation across global healthcare and consumer businesses.

She has held senior positions at Johnson and Johnson, where she worked as group worldwide chairman and led the consumer and medical devices businesses and was responsible for the corporation’s global supply chain, technology strategy and infrastructure.

She also held senior positions at Bayer, where she worked as CEO of Bayer CropScience AG, CEO of Bayer Medical Care and president of Bayer HealthCare AG’s Diabetes Care Division.

Currently, she is an operating partner at private investment firm, CD&R, and is a member of the Microsoft board of directors.

Peterson’s appointment increases the number of directors serving on Covetrus board to 10.
