Pets at Home Group Plc has reported growth in revenue following the opening of more groom rooms and veterinary practices.

Revenue grew in the year till March 31 to £793.1m, up from £729.1m the year before, as like-for-like revenue grew by 2.1 percent.

The company opened 20 new superstores, 50 vet practices, 60 grooming salons as well as six Barkers stores and one Whiskers ‘n’ Paws trial format store.

Ian Kellett, chief executive officer, commented: “With Group like-for-like revenue growth of 3.2 percent in the final quarter, we are pleased with the continued positive sales momentum in our Merchandise business and have seen excellent performance in both our vet practices and grooming salons.

“Our highly trained colleagues are fundamental to achieving these results and I would like to extend my thanks for their dedication and support throughout the year.”
