Baboo Gelato, the Dorset-based artisan ice cream and gelato brand and makers of award-winning dog frozen treats, Doggy Doggy Yum Yum, has celebrated its 10th anniversary.

The company is celebrating 10 years of Doggy Doggy Yum Yum, a frozen treat founded primarily for dogs. The treat is dairy-free to avoid triggering lactose intolerance, naturally sweetened and formulated in partnership with Dorwest Herbs to include supplements that support a dog’s coat and overall health.

The business was joined by employees, distributors and suppliers as it celebrated the growth of Baboo Gelato’s progression.

Winners of Best Pet Treat 2024 at the Pet Industry Federation Awards and Best New Product of the Year by Pedigree Wholesale,  the company was established in 2016 after founders Annie and Sam Hanbury used a surplus of raspberries to make sorbet.

Doggy Doggy Yum Yum’s current offering features two flavours: peanut butter and banana, and apple and blueberry.

Over the last decade, Baboo Gelato has become a nationally recognised artisan gelato producer and operates with a charitable mission. For every sale, 5p is donated to ‘Dogs For Good’, a charity that trains and pairs assistance dogs with individuals suffering with physical disabilities, autism and dementia.
