Canine Principles has announced a partnership with BSAVA PetSavers, the fundraising and grant-awarding arm of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), to promote dog welfare and professional development within the veterinary and training sectors.

Under the partnership, BSAVA members will receive a 15% discount on all Canine Principles courses. The company will donate 15% of proceeds from those purchases to BSAVA PetSavers, which funds clinical research into small animal health.

The collaboration also includes a webinar series for BSAVA members hosted by Jo Middleton, owner of Canine Principles. The first session introduced the partnership and discussed the principles of cooperative handling, a training method based on trust and positive reinforcement.

Canine Principles is an AIM Qualifications-approved training provider offering nationally recognised courses in dog training and behaviour. All course content is developed independently of BSAVA’s educational provision, and BSAVA has no editorial control over the materials.

Middleton said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering with BSAVA PetSavers. Together, we can help strengthen the bond between vets, trainers and guardians through evidence-based education. Our shared mission is to ensure that dogs receive the kindest, most ethical care possible.”

Alison Selby of BSAVA PetSavers added: “We are committed to improving the health and welfare of small animals through education and collaboration. Partnering with Canine Principles, whose courses are rooted in science and compassion, reflects our dedication to supporting our members with trusted, progressive learning opportunities.”
