Canine training group Pup Club has entered into a partnership with RSPCA Milton Keynes and North Bucks to expand animal welfare work through joint projects and education initiatives.

The tie-up will focus on tackling behavioural issues that often lead to rehoming and on increasing awareness of responsible pet ownership.

The RSPCA branch, which rehomes hundreds of animals each year, has stressed the importance of early education and long-term support for pet owners.

Recent figures from the RSPCA’s UK-wide attitudes survey showed that in 2023 one in eight owners – around 13% – regretted getting a pet. That proportion rose to almost one in seven, or 15%, this year.

Dan Cheung, Pup Club founder, said: “Partnering with the RSPCA is an incredible step forward in our mission to help stressed, anxious or confused canine guardians regain confidence with their dogs and provide them with continuous support throughout.

“By combining our training expertise with the RSPCA’s deep community roots and rehoming efforts, we are creating a stronger safety net for animals and their guardians in Milton Keynes and North Bucks.”

The partnership will include workshops, community events and awareness campaigns beginning in autumn 2025, with the organisations aiming to engage thousands of local residents.

Education efforts will cover common behavioural issues, the adoption of rescue animals and broader training support for dog owners.
