Jollyes has reduced more than 600 product prices and expanded its rapid delivery partnership with Uber Eats to nearly all of its UK stores.
The pet retailer said the cuts were part of its move to simplify pricing and strengthen its position as the UK’s only specialist discount chain for pet products.
It has dropped so-called “psychological” price points that end in sevens and nines, opting instead for round numbers.
Price reductions include Whiskas 12-packs reduced from £4.25 to £4.00, Wagg Active 12kg bags cut from £11.00 to £9.50, and Butchers 18-packs down from £16.00 to £14.00.
Other products, such as Breeder Celect cat litter and Peckish bird seed, will also move to rounded figures.
Alongside the changes, Jollyes has launched its “Zoomies” delivery service with Uber Eats across more than 100 stores, following a trial at 13 locations.
Customers within five miles of a store can now order food, toys and accessories for delivery in as little as 30 minutes via the Uber Eats app.
The company said the pilot had shown strong demand among younger customers, with raw frozen food, natural treats and pet accessories among the most frequently ordered items.
It added that the service had quickly grown to represent around 10% of online orders in trial areas.
Chief executive Joe Wykes said: “These continue to be exciting times at Jollyes as we look for new ways to fulfil our commitment to be the lowest-price pet retailer in town – whether customers want to visit us in store or take advantage of convenient options such as Zoomies through Uber Eats.”
