Veterinary education providers Improve International and Central CPD have announced a merger aimed at expanding their range of continuing professional development (CPD) training for veterinary professionals.

The partnership combines Improve International’s global reach and postgraduate qualification programmes with Central CPD’s practitioner-led courses and digital learning platform.

The merged business will offer a broader portfolio of CPD options across the UK and internationally, from hands-on training to flexible online modules, tailored to veterinary professionals at different stages of their careers.

The combined faculty includes veterinary specialists, educators and support staff.

Both organisations stated that the merger would “accelerate innovation in clinical education and digital delivery, while maintaining a shared commitment to high-quality training”.

Heber Alves, chief executive of Improve International, said: “This merger represents a significant step forward in our mission to support veterinary professionals at every stage of their careers. Together, we are better positioned to meet the growing and evolving CPD needs of practices and individuals across the UK.”

Jo Hillard, managing director of Central CPD, added: “I started Central CPD after I developed a passion for CPD whilst completing a GPCert with Improve, so it is great to come full circle over 15 years later and be able to combine the strengths of both businesses to deliver more comprehensive, flexible learning opportunities for veterinary professionals across the UK and beyond.”
