Pets at Home has announced the launch of its new small format Pet Care Centre in London, the first with an in-store Vets for Pets clinic.

The company has invested just under £1m in the new 7,750 sq ft concept store.

The store offers fully integrated pet care service, combining expert veterinary care with a “comprehensive retail experience”.

The Vets for Pets practice and the Pet Care Centre officially opened its doors on 5 October.

To celebrate the grand opening, Pets at Home is hosting a Golden Bone competition on Friday 11 October.

This latest concept store marks another addition to Pets at Homes ongoing retail expansion within the UK.

Dr Dzuni Ngobeni, veterinary surgeon and practice owner, said: “I’m thrilled to bring our new Vets for Pets practice to Beckenham. Our practice will offer pet owners access to a full range of veterinary services, all while ensuring a welcoming, community-focused environment. I’m especially excited to bring my experience to the practice, ensuring that we meet the needs of local pets in every way possible.”
