Angelcare Group has announced that its cat litter disposal system, Litter Genie, will be launching in the UK.
Litter Genie has a multi-layer odour-blocking bag designed to prevent smells from escaping.
In the UK, 75% of cat owners encourage their cats to use a litter tray regularly, despite them not living exclusively indoors.
According to research by Turquoise Thinking in June 2022, of those, 78% said that it takes ‘a lot of effort’ to dispose of their cat litter appropriately.
Following the launch of Litter Genie Angelcare Group also has a number of accompanying accessories in the works, including the Litter Box litter tray, hood and easy-clean matt.
Furthermore, the company will be launching a bigger Pet Genie range suitable for dogs as well.
Angelcare was founded in 1997 by Maurice Pinsonnault and specialises in nappy disposal systems, and cat litter disposal systems.
