Pets4Homes has launched a new puppy protection programme which features a six-month Pets4Homes Guarantee, for animal welfare and user safety.

Utilising AI technology and a team of 20 Trust and Safety professionals monitoring the platform 24/7, Pets4Homes said it will now offer all new puppy owners a six-month health guarantee for puppies purchased through the platform.

The six month Pets4Homes Guarantee allows site users to claim a full refund if a puppy rehomed through Pets4Homes becomes critically ill after being rehomed.

The pet rehoming industry has faced challenges stemming from bad breeding practices, including the importation of puppies, selling puppies at too young an age, and unethical breeding. These practices put puppies at a higher risk of contracting diseases such as the parvovirus, which can be fatal.

Axel Lagercrantz, CEO and co-founder of Pet Media Group, said: “At Pets4Homes, our unwavering dedication to the well-being of pets drives everything we do.

“By providing a guarantee for puppies rehomed through Pets4Homes, we reaffirm our commitment to putting pets first. The puppy protection program demonstrates the rigorous vetting procedures we apply to ensure that only puppies from reputable breeders find loving homes through our platform.”
