Acme Whistles has announced the launch of its new product the Alpha whistle.

The company has worked closely with the UK’s leading dog trainers, including Ben Randall, to develop the whistle.

The whistle is 8% louder with a crisper sound that has resulted in a 17% increase in range when compared to ACME’s original dog whistle.

Acme has spent four years taking the product through approximately 47 iterations to test its latest invention.

Ben McFarlane, head of marketing, said: “This whistle is the most efficient we have ever made. The frequency is now concentrated in the dog’s middle octave hearing range which means the dog hears it more clearly.

“The new design is so sensitive you only have to breathe into it for a good sound and the whistle user can also now produce sounds so quiet they are almost inaudible to people – perfect for close working dogs. The ALPHA is the perfect tool for pet owners, especially those with younger dogs or new puppies, though it is never too late to teach your dog basic commands.”

Acme has been making dog whistles for over 135 years and has a strong reputation in the gun dog sector.
