TVM UK offers virtual CPD training

Animal health group TVM UK has announced plans to help veterinary practices continue with CPD studies during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The group will now offer veterinary surgeons and nurses CPD sessions via a live virtual stream.

The sessions are to take place at lunchtimes, and aims to keep those in the industry educated on diagnosis and management of conditions in general practice. It will also provide relevant product and service information.

TVM UK territory managers will offer CPD sessions on toxicology, ophthalmology and management of epilepsy by live virtual stream to computers, tablets or smartphones. Participants can provide an email address to receive an invite link.

TVM product manager Will Peel said: “We know concerns over coronavirus are affecting our customers, so we want to make it as easy as possible for them to benefit from the information imparted in our ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions while normal service is disrupted.”

“We hope these measures will also help us offer more virtual workshops in the future to make our sessions more accessible for busy veterinary staff and we are looking at the possibility of organising virtual drop-ins from our sales team in the future.”
