Pet food manufacturer Different Dog has launched plastic free, compostable pots and recyclable packaging across its range of hand-cooked recipes.
The new packaging format introduces a redesign for the brand, with a goal to ensure the business’ environmental impact is as minimal as possible.
Alex Thurstan co-founder of Different Dog, said: “We exist to make dogs healthy and happy. However, it’s not just what our pets eat that affects their wellbeing; it’s also the state of the environment that we all live in. We believe it is important to operate as ethically as possible, which is why we’re minimising our environmental impact.
“As the nation becomes more aware of how our choices affect the planet, we’re noticing a growing appetite for dog food that’s produced in a much more healthy, natural way. Having a regular intake of fresh food really matters, so even small changes in a dog’s daily diet can make a visible difference to health in as little as a few weeks.”
The repackaging news comes as Different Dog has been touring the first pop-up “doggy café”, with chefs delivering live demos of dishes for visiting pets.
