Pets Choice has opened its first factory outlet store in Blackburn, marking the company’s move into bricks-and-mortar retail.

The shop, branded Pet Range, is located on Lower Phillips Road and offers discounted food, treats, toys and accessories for cats, dogs and wildlife. The company said the outlet would help reduce waste by selling products at lower prices.

Chief executive Tony Raeburn said: “Opening a store is a great way to raise our profile and help reduce waste by selling our loved brands to the community at outlet prices. It was always my plan to have a store for food, treats and toys, and visitors should expect to see discounts every time they come.”

The business, which has been based in Blackburn for 37 years, employs more than 360 people and supplies products across the grocery, veterinary, e-commerce and independent retail sectors.

The launch was marked with a public event on 25 September, featuring local pet influencers, a live sketch artist and activities for visitors.

The store is open three days a week – Friday from 12pm to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. It is dog-friendly and has parking on site.
