Pet food brand Wagg is rolling out a series of dog-sized picnic benches in parks across the UK to mark the launch of its new Chews range and National Dog Day on 26 August.
The ‘Pupnic’ benches, built from sustainable materials and 30cm high to accommodate dogs of all breeds, will be installed in selected dog-friendly parks through late August.
Dogs visiting the benches will be able to sample Wagg’s new Chews in flavours such as banana and peanut butter, steak skewer twists and fish finger sticks, alongside other treats including mini sausage BBQ bangers and ham and cheese toastie bites.
The new treats are all made with real meat or fish ingredients, less than 5% fat, and no added sugar.
Events will be held at:
- Heaton Park, Manchester – 25 August (9am–5pm)
- Birkenhead Park, Liverpool – 30 August (9am–5pm)
- Llys y Fran Lake, Pembrokeshire – 31 August (10am–5pm)
Visitors will also have the chance to enter a prize draw via QR code for a £500 voucher.
Additionally, Wagg stated that more benches are planned for September.
Sarah Lyle, brand manager at Wagg, said: “With the launch of our new chews in much-loved human flavours, and the accompanying ‘Pupnic’ benches, we hope to bring local communities and dog lovers together in a fun and creative way.”
