Only Rescues and Ancol launches £3k grant for rescue shelters
The funding can be used at the shelter’s discretion, including for everyday expenses

Only Rescues and Ancol have launched a £3,000 grant to support UK animal rescue shelters.
The Ancol Shelter Grant, which opened this week, offers one organisation unrestricted funding to help cover costs such as food, vet bills or shelter repairs. Applications close at midnight on 31 August 2025.
The platform has partnered with pet accessories brand Ancol to deliver the initiative. Ancol is a family-run business founded in 1971 and known for its work with the animal welfare community.
The grant is open to any UK-based not-for-profit that rescues and rehomes dogs or cats, whether or not it is a registered charity. Applicants must describe their work and how they would use the funds.
The funding can be used at the shelter’s discretion, including for everyday expenses.
Only Rescues is a UK-based digital platform that connects rescue dogs and cats with potential adopters. The grant forms part of its wider aim to provide practical support to rescue shelters nationwide.
Tara Hamdi, founder of Only Rescues, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Ancol for offering this incredible opportunity for one lucky shelter. Rescue organisations do so much with so little, and we hope this grant offers not just practical support, but recognition for their hard work.”
